waiting just for you,
and if you close your eyes,

feed the darkness,

singing:
thumpity thump thump

sing the children lullabies,
and then we bleed them dry!

a pocket full of handguns.

the murdered family's funeral is today,
but no one's brave enough to attend.

and cooked them all alive,
now we're burning our last hope,
because we have to keep warm)

Watch out for infected travelers!

Get out while you still can!
They're gonna bomb the city!!)

snakes crawl out of my mouth,
hands like sleep waiting silently
for me to give into them.

across my tongue, skipping
across the lake, and we reach,
hands outstretched, for the sun
but it's a shame it's all empty.

wouldn't try to fix me.
if you loved me, you'd paint
butterflies across the wall
to make me smile. listen,
if you loved me, you'd give
me handrails to hold onto
on the way down. you'd tell me
that right now, i'm a caterpillar

if you loved me,
you'd love me broken, too.

dear someone,
i know you probably don't care.
i know you're probably busy watching tv or dealing with your own problems, or maybe you're busy laughing and chasing butterflies. maybe you spend afternoons in the grass, smelling the sun and tasting life.
maybe you don't have time to worry about me.
but i'm going to pretend you care. i just want someone to hear me, honestly.
i don't expect you to understand or care or even listen.
i'm just hoping that you will.
dear someone,
i guess i should start by telling you that i wish i didn't have to live anymore. free time is spent wondering if there's any way i could possibly suffocate myself.

You will never be strong enough,
you will never be good enough,
you were never conceived in love,
you will not rise above.
Somebody tell me what made us all believe you
I should've known all along it was all a lie.

Another statement on conformity. This was an English assignment in which I had to cut words out of a newspaper and stick them together to write this poem. The original was bad, so I rewrote it. xD
